THE LIZARD BY MY WINDOW

THE LIZARD BY MY WINDOW

He stands there,
Don’t know if he sees me,
He raises his head,
Because he’s a gecko.

As I stand there in a stare,
Wondering what’s on his mind,
He swirls in a tick,
Turns back with a smile.

What’s brought this?
Something’s dropped
From his gnash;
Limb of a cockroach!

The lizard by my window
Eats all the time;
He has no leftover when he eats,
No wonder he has no friend.
